This here is one of the best vibratory tumblers that have ever been on the market! The Calway Lot-o is well known for producing some of the best tumbling results, which can be achieved in less than 5 days after the initial 80 grit in a rotary!
These are a beast, and this is one from an unknown year and still in decent quality despite the rust. Rock never cared about rust, and neither does the Lot-o tumbler! While we did not mount this on a block, we have verified that the motor is 100% functional, with no loud noises and no signs of bearing failure that we can see. This appears to use the original motor, one that was known to last for years! The springs, while rusty, appear to be completely intact with no signs of damage. These do need mounted on a sturdy workbench, or preferably a concrete block. We would be keeping this beauty, but we already utilize 3 in our shop and do not have room for this.
This lot-o tumbler is great, as most parts needed for repair are still on the market, and it is a very easy little unit to work on!
The barrel on this does show its age, and while it should still function, one should consider replacing it in the near future. If you do, I recommend keeping this one for 220 grit, and using the new one for beyond.
These are in huge demand, and even the newer ones fly off the shelves faster than the manufacturer can make them!
Please look over the photos, as said, this is an unrestored vintage vibratory rock tumbler, with tons of rust but still able to perform its function. Barrel does not include a lid. Lids can be purchased online with a simple search and are usually less than five dollars.
Pickup in Olympia, Washington preferred. Shipping is possible at buyers expense. Shipment requires full insurance.
