Description
These units are a workhorse! Nothing beats an older rock saw, and Lortone was well known for making some of the best on the market! These dropsaws can be ran inside or outside, though some light misting can occur, so a fan at the very least is recommended if used in a shop. This uses a pump system (pump has not been verified to be working, as it has been drained of oil) to feed the oil directly onto the blade. This can be a great unit for slabbing, as it cuts pretty quickly and clean, and is fairly easy to learn and use! This one has had the oil drained, but we haven't done a deep cleaning. Some rock sludge and a small amount of oil still remains in the pan. Lortone Products were proudly made in Seattle Washington! Nothing beats good old fashioned american products!
We do recommend wearing a respirator rated for oil and silica mists when cutting stones.
