Covington is well known for making rock equipment that will last multiple lifetimes, and this Flat lap is no exception! The modern version of this is nearly $3000, and we all know antique rock equipment was always built with better quality materials! This flat lap has some some wear, but still seems to be running hardy. It also comes with a final polishing pad that can be glued to the lap. These are great for polishing slabs and cut chunks! Covington products were proudly made in California! Nothing beats good old fashioned american built machinery!
We do recommend wearing a respirator rated for silica dust when grinding and polishing stones.
