Starburst Rhyolite is one of the old stock gemmy Mexican rhyolites with distinctive patterns. It often has a flower-like pattern and sometimes went by the name Chrysanthemum Rhyolite due to resemblance to the flower. The old stock Starburst Rhyolite cuts fantastically, often perfectly solid with minor fracturing, and takes a decent polish for a rhyolite.
