Sarape Jasper (also spelled Serape Jasper) comes from the Crazy Lace Mines in Mexico, where some miners market this material as Zebra Jasper. Named after traditional Sarape blankets, this Mexican jasper features patterns similar to Crazy Lace and is typically highly silicated, taking an excellent polish with relative ease. The red and black coloration comes from higher iron content in the stone.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL
The wild fireworks pattern creates explosive visual interest. Despite the healed fracture, large cab-worthy areas remain for quality projects.
