This stunning San Carlos Agate shows very unique hard-to-describe pattern with bright reds and butterscotch orange. It has a partially healed hairline fracture running through the middle that needs working around when cabbing. A really distinctive piece with character above the typical San Carlos look.

San Carlos Agate is impressive moss agate from near San Carlos, Mexico. This is a somewhat newer discovery, with attractive rough just now hitting the market. So far, with our cutting, we've been greatly enjoying this stone, as it has some well-defined moss with attractive coloration creating beautiful patterns. It also appears it will take a nice polish.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL
The butterscotch orange tone alongside vivid red gives this an unusual color profile for the deposit. Hairline fracture is partially healed, leaving usable cabbing area on either side.
