Red Velvet Agate is a beautiful wispy agate with attractive bright red patterns, often swirling in flame-like structures or plasma displays. This stone is mined in Mexico, and it works into some very beautiful cabochons. It tends to slab nicely and is often fairly solid with only occasional rare fractures. Some can have voids, but these are easy to work around, and they are still fairly rare.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL
The combination of well-defined red flame and an opalite-style top zone gives this trimmer two distinct visual zones. A versatile cab piece with strong saturation throughout.
