Description
This stone has been hand polished by lapidarycentral in the United States. It has been hand polished on the main cut face. The skin of this stone has a natural polish due to microscopic diamonds in the creek it was collected. Please check the photos and video for a demonstration of the polishing. Stones can differ piece by piece, and some stones will only take a mirror polish, while others will take a matte polish.
With this polished display specimen, the possibilities are endless! This could be a great piece for the kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, bedroom, office, or household entrance. Its a great conversation piece, and would add a nice homey touch to any bookcase, display case, entertainment center, counter-top, and more! It could also be a nice collectors piece for an aspiring rockhounding child (pebble pup)! You can't be the natural beauty of this! Stones have also been scientifically proven to have a calming and peaceful effect on those viewing them!
About the Stone:
Jequitinhonha Agate is a very rare form of Brazilian Agate that comes from a creek in Brazil with a known anomaly of naturally polishing stones! It is believed this natural polishing comes from microscopic diamonds within the creek! The majority of it was collected prior to the 1970s, and I do not believe any has been imported since then! The skin of these agates have a 100% natural glossy finish! The agate itself tends to be very hard and takes a flawless mirror polish! This isn't one you are likely to see anywhere else, due to its insane rarity! This geological anomaly of a stone is certainly one you should add to your collection!
