Ojinaga Plume Agate is a collectible Mexican plume agate found near Ojinaga in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The Chihuahua region has been producing world-renowned agates for over 70 years, and Ojinaga material is part of that storied tradition. This plume agate is recognized for its highly detailed, feathery plumes suspended within richly colored agate backgrounds. This is largely old stock material that has become increasingly difficult to source in quality form. It takes a quality polish and works into striking cabochons.
