This slab of African Nellite features a beautiful blue-on-gold coloration with slight chatoyancy that adds depth and visual interest. It also shows some hematite inclusions and has good cabbing potential, though there are some voids to work around that are not overly large. Right in the center there is a solid cabbing area if you prefer to avoid those zones entirely.

Nellite is a material mined on a neighboring claim to the famous African Pietersite deposit. While this material can have pietersite-like properties, it is not a pietersite, despite being marketed as such by many vendors. Nellite can have a beautiful chatoyancy and often features a unique gold and blue coloration mix creating depth.
