Jumpin' Jeep Agate is attractive old stock agate dug near the Painted Hills by Mitchell, Oregon. It has gone by many names throughout history - to locals it's known as Mitchellite, to original miners it's called Jumpin' Jeep, and somewhere in between it was known as Oil Paint Agate. Jumpin' Jeep often has oil paint-like patterns and can occasionally have plume. The name came from the mine's parking brake giving way while loading boulders, and the miners watching their jeep bounce down the steep mountain.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL
The oil paint butterscotch pattern with breccia accents in one trimmer shows off two of the most desirable Jumpin' Jeep characteristics. Already cut to confirm pattern presence - no guessing.

• Cabochon cutting
