A hairline fracture runs through the middle, though it does not appear to penetrate all the way and should be easy to work around or treat. Wet and under bright light, it truly shines with a deep green you rarely see anywhere else in the rock world, and it should make spectacular cabochons.

Idaho Sunset Jasper is a new stone from near Challis, Idaho. It tends to have a vivid blue-green composition with a creamy flowing center.
