Blue Mountain Jasper is a well-known orbicular jasper from Oregon, recognized for decades as a Pacific Northwest classic. This material features blue-green jasper with lighter-colored orb patterns that create striking visual interest. Originally mined by Cop Kapensky who lived in Mitchell, Oregon, the deposit changed ownership after his passing, making earlier material particularly sought after by collectors. This jasper takes an excellent polish and creates striking cabochons for jewelry.
