Apple Valley Jasper Slab – Hematite Flowers with Golden Splashes – Red Flowing Rivers
This neat larger slab of Apple Valley Jasper shows great hematite flowers with gorgeous golden splashes and red flowing rivers. This one has lots of micro detail and when polishing the hematite is going to add a really neat effect. Polishing should be similar to polishing gem dinosaur bone, where the cell outlines stand out from the rest of the stone.

Apple Valley Jasper comes from the same Sahara Desert location as Apple Valley Agate but is actually a fossil stromatolite, making it a fascinating specimen for fossil collectors. Stromatolites formed from cyanobacteria colonies trapped in sediment layers and are among Earth's earliest known fossils, dating back billions of years. Each layer in this fossilized material represents a geological event, with mineral content determining the colors and patterns visible today.
