Apple Valley Agate comes from the Sahara Desert, collected by nomadic shepherds, offering remarkable variety for agate collectors and jewelry makers. This Moroccan agate offers nearly unlimited diversity, with nearly every piece being unique. Features can include pseudomorphic tubes, moss in various colors, picturesque patterns, plumes, and poppies in shades of red, green, orange, blue, purple, and pink. Hardness can vary between specimens of this desert agate, but it generally takes a quality polish and works into designer-grade cabochons.
