Amity Plume Jasper is a rare old stock material mined near Mitchell, Oregon by the Quant Family, who are credited with discovering and working numerous notable Central Oregon lapidary deposits. This material was highly prized for its stunning jasper plumes — an unusual feature, as plume formations are typically found in agate rather than jasper. The plumes commonly appear in shades of red, gold, and green. Amity Plume has not been mined in decades and is considered tapped out, and Amity can also sometimes occur as agate or breccia.
