Agua Nueva Agate is impressive material from Mexico near the Laguna Agate mining area. While it can sometimes have fortification, it's more commonly high-contrast, well-defined moss agate. The material tends to be fairly hard and solid, taking a mirror polish for exceptional jewelry. Agua Nueva translates to New Water agate and comes from the Agua Nueva Ranch. Agua Nueva Agate is becoming increasingly difficult to source, particularly high-quality material with vivid moss formations. Collectors value this for its superior definition compared to many other moss agates.
