Agua Nueva Agate is impressive material from Mexico near the Laguna Agate mining area. While it can sometimes have fortification, it's more commonly high-contrast, well-defined moss agate. The material tends to be fairly hard and solid, taking a mirror polish for exceptional jewelry. Agua Nueva translates to "New Water" agate and comes from the Agua Nueva Ranch. The material can occasionally have fractures but generally yields workable slabs for cabochons.
