📝 Material Overview, History, and Geology
Regency Rose Plume Agate is a distinctive variety of Graveyard Point Plume Agate, notable for its striking red plume inclusions. This rare material came from a specific vein within the famous Graveyard Point mining area in Oregon. Unlike other Graveyard Point varieties that can display a mix of colors, Regency Rose was remarkable for its consistency—most of the vein produced vibrant red plumes set in translucent agate.
This material is generally very solid, making it well-suited for cutting and polishing into designer cabochons or slabs. Because the original Regency Rose vein was limited in size, it has become increasingly scarce on the market. Collectors and lapidary artists value it not only for its beauty but also for its rarity—when you encounter genuine Regency Rose Plume Agate, it’s often wise not to pass it up.
📏 Additional Notes
Natural Stone: This is a slice of natural stone. Being a slab, it has been cut on both sides but remains unpolished. Natural pits, fractures, or inclusions are expected and part of its geological character.
Photos: All photos are taken wet to showcase colors and patterns. 👉 The final photo is taken dry to reveal natural surface details such as pits, fractures, or voids. This slab is not polished.
