💎 Labradorite Rough – Chunky Cutter with Rare Purple & Blue Flash from Madagascar
This is a large, rough cutter chunk of Labradorite from Madagascar showing a striking combination of rare purple and vivid blue flash. The labradorescence lights up beautifully under the right lighting and angles, making this an excellent choice for cabbing, slab trimming, or polishing into a dramatic display specimen.
Labradorite is a member of the feldspar group, famous for its unique optical effect called labradorescence—similar to the Schiller effect—where internal layers refract light into dazzling colors. This is caused by lamellar twinning within the crystal structure. Labradorite is classified as an aluminum tectosilicate, formed from high-silica volcanic processes.

Photo Disclaimer
I strive to provide accurate, unedited photos that represent each stone as naturally as possible. Most stones are photographed wet to simulate their polished appearance. While I do not use filters or enhancements, please be aware that screen brightness and settings may slightly alter the color you see. If a face has been cut, the final image is usually taken dry to help reveal natural surface characteristics like pits or fractures.
Natural Stone & Fossil Disclaimer
All of the stones and fossils offered here are natural materials formed over millions of years through geological and organic processes. As a result, it is completely normal for them to exhibit natural fractures, pits, inclusions, voids, and other surface or internal features that reflect their ancient origins.
These characteristics are not flaws—they are part of what makes each piece unique. We encourage you to review all product photos carefully and research the properties of each material before purchasing to ensure it meets your expectations.
If you have any questions about a specific piece, feel free to contact us before ordering.
