Morrisonite Jasper is widely regarded as the “King of Jaspers” and is one of the legendary Five Fine Jaspers of the World, alongside Bruneau Jasper, Royal Imperial Jasper, Willow Creek Jasper, and Blue Mountain Jasper. It was mined in the remote canyons near the Owyhee River in eastern Oregon and is famous for its exceptional polish, orbicular patterning, brecciation, and painterly scenic effects. With the original deposits now exhausted, Morrisonite is considered highly collectible, especially in old stock slabs like this one.
