This listing is for ONE random pull 90-100% whole Knightia Fish Plate Fossil! These fish fossils are 100% authentic and at most have been cleaned up to better see the display. There is zero artist representation in these!
These are from the Green River Formation in Wyoming.
The scientific name of these are Knightia eocaena, with these coming from the Eocene Age, being approx 48 million years old! Knightia were a fresh water fish, often living in schools in lakes and rivers.
Some may be broken on part of the fossil display, but they are guaranteed to be at least 90% whole!
Knightia are often found in the Green River Formation, due to warming waters during that time; and the species being sensitive to temperature changes and perishing in mass while schooling.
