Arroyo Jasper is old stock Southern Oregon picture jasper, mined decades ago and long since depleted, making it a historical specimen. This material featured faded rustic rolling hills and was lighter than most jaspers while remaining sturdy enough to polish. It often displayed scenic blue skies, making interesting cabochons. This deposit is gone for good, so once existing stock sells, no more will ever be available.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL
The deposit is fully depleted - this is among the last Arroyo we will ever carry, and the oasis valley scene in this chunk is exactly what made the material famous.
