Here's a stunning slab of apple valley jasper showing some bright red, beautiful golden flows, and splotches of hematite. this one is a very neat collectors slab, or could be worked into some really awesome cabochons. i would love to see a big belt bolo of this. This super rare material should take a quality polish.

Apple Valley Jasper comes from the same Sahara Desert location as Apple Valley Agate but is actually a fossil stromatolite, making it a fascinating specimen for fossil collectors. Stromatolites formed from cyanobacteria colonies trapped in sediment layers and are among Earth's earliest known fossils, dating back billions of years.
