This listing is for ONE random pull Polished Orthoceras Cephalopod Fossil Display! These are a great starter fossil, being well polished and pretty hard! The fronts have been ground smooth and polished to add some vibrancy to this fossil, while the backs have been ground to be able to sit flat. These fossils come from the Atlas Mountain Range of Morocco and are approx 400 million years old; coming from the Devonian Age!
Orthoceras had a similar appearance to a squid that lived in a shell! They used their tentacles to grab passing prey, and used jetted water for movement! They were a pretty neat and successful creature, with many different species being found around the world!
Some chippage or cracks can exist because of their age.
Sizes range from 1.5 to 2 inches long!
