Septarian Nodules are round stones that were organic fossils that were devoured by bacteria and replaced with calcite! They can be geodes (hollow with calcite crystals), or solid with unique and interesting patterns! Most Septarian Nodules take an excellent polish and work into some fine cabochons or display slabs! Surviving fossils can also sometimes be found within Septarian Nodules! Most Septarian Nodules come from Utah and Morocco!
