Description

Jumpin' Jeep Agate is a gorgeous old stock Agate dug near the Painted Hills by Mitchell, Oregon. It has gone by many names throughout history. To locals, its known as Mitchellite, to the original miners and vein discoverers, its called Jumpin' Jeep, somewhere inbetween it was known as Oil Paint Agate, and with the modern claim owners; its referred to as Butterscotch Agate. Jumpin' Jeep was a pretty interested Agate that often has oil paint like patterns, and can even occasionally have plume.

Jumpin' Jeep got its original name due to the mine being on a rough hill, and while the miners were loading up their jeep with some boulders of this material, their parking brake gave way and they could only watch as their jeep bounced all the way down the steep mountain.
