Madagascar Coprolite is a form of fossilized turtle feces that have been well preserved and still show some of their original structure. They are a pretty neat fossil, and a great conversation starter! They are a great starter collection fossil for children! Smell not included.
There is some debate on whether or not these are coprolite, fossil intestinal casts, or siderite, though the general leading theory is coprolites.
This coprolite comes from the Eocene period and is approx 35-56 million years old.
Some chippage or cracks can exist because of their age.
The exact species of this coprolite is undetermined.
