Here is a stunning slab of the red variety of Freedom Jasper Gary Green Larsonite, known as Caldera Paint Jasper. This deposit has also recently been sold, and the new miner is now calling it Freedom Jasper.
It takes an excellent polish and works into some amazing cabochons, and the pictures of this slab speak volumes about its beauty. This is a larger slab, and would make a perfect display.
Measurements (inches - longest - approx): 8 x 3.6 x .27
The last photo has been taken dry so that you may see any defects. The other images were taken wet to simulate polish.
