This type of coprolite is believed to be rhino scat, though it is nearly impossible to know for certain at this time. It was a smaller fossil deposit that came to the surface, and a few specimens were collected before the deposit was worked out. So far this coprolite has been well silicated and pretty similar to Utah Coprolite in working characteristics. It is typically a caramel color, cuts nicely, and takes a decent polish. As with all coprolite, there is a chance these could be some form of enhydros instead, though given they were found in a small fossil-bearing formation, coprolite is far more likely. Either way, they are pretty neat specimens.

WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL
From a brand new 2021 discovery that produced limited specimens before being worked out. The caramel color with Utah Coprolite-like working characteristics gives this material strong cabbing potential. Honest identification disclosure preserved.

PERFECT FOR
• Cabochon cutting
• Coprolite collectors
• New find specimens

PHOTO NOTE: All photos are taken wet to show polish potential.
