This listing is for ONE random pull Grade A Dawn Redwood Metasequoia Plate Fossil Plate from the Muddy Creek Formation of Montana, USA. These beautiful fossils all have at least part of a well defined needle branch! They make great displays just as they are, or can be a great addition to any collection! The Dawn Redwood is still a living tree, with the last photo of this listing being a photo of a living needle branch!
The scientific name of these are Metasequoia occidentalis, with these coming from the Oligocene Age, being approx 30 million years old! Some parts of the needle branch may be broke, and sizes can differ piece to piece; but each one will be beautiful and of grade a quality!
Some chippage or cracks can exist because of their age. These are a fossil and with fossils there are going to be great variation. These aren't going to look exactly like the photos, but they will look similar and Dawn Redwood needles are guaranteed.
